Ministries: Opportunities to GROW & GO

"Church isn't where you meet. Church isn't a building. Church is what you do. Church is who you are. Church is the human outworking of the person of Jesus Christ. Let's not [just] go to Church, let's be the Church." -Bridget Willard |
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
-Matthew 25:35-36

Upcoming Opportunities to Volunteer:
- Back to Church (BTC) Sunday, September 18, 2022. National Back to Church Sunday started as a call to action and invitation – action for the church, invitation for the world. A single-day event focused on extending the invitation of love, peace, and hope to our friends and neighbors. The Church Council has established an Ad-Hoc Committee to plan our BTC service and outreach efforts, which will be co-chaired by Tonya Allen and Fran Diachenko. We are looking for two or three individuals to serve on this planning committee. If you are interested in serving on this committee, please click here.
- Faith in Action Sunday, October16, 2022. The church will be hosting a Faith in Action (FIA) Day, where regular services are canceled, and the entire congregation engages in service projects in and with the community. The Church Council has established an Ad-Hoc Committee to plan our FIA day, which will be co-chaired by Nick Dobrowolski and Judy Wastell. If you are interested in serving on this committee, please click here.
Food Pantry
Bethany will be holding a weekly non-perishable food pantry program at 12:30 PM. During the same time, the church will also be offering showers, toiletries, and clean-undergarments to individuals experiencing homelessness. Participants are encouraged to arrive by 12:30PM, as lunches and food will be supplied on a first-come/first-serve basis. Masks are required and social distancing procedures are in effect. If you would like to donate food for this program, a list of needed food items are to the right of this web page. Volunteer with BGCC
Using our time, talents, and spiritual gifts to make a difference. Imagine what our families, church, and community would be like if we all took the time to do what God uniquely designed each of us to do in serving others. The ripple effect of each person making their unique contribution would result in a revolution of Christ's love being felt in tangible, life-changing ways. Whether you have lots of time to volunteer each week or only a few hours every once in a while, consider making the kind of impact that only you can make. Your life will never be the same!
